Who we are
This website is run by Phuket Driving License Service, 29, 46 Wiset Rd, Rawai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100, Thailand. We are an independent private agency, not the Department of Land Transport. The easiest way to reach us about your data is WhatsApp.
Contact form and WhatsApp
The form on our home page does not send your details to a server of ours and does not email them. When you press the button, your browser opens WhatsApp with a message to our number that already contains the name, phone number, optional email address and text you typed. Nothing is sent until you press Send in WhatsApp. From then on WhatsApp (Meta) processes the message under its own terms and privacy policy.
We use your messages and phone number to answer you and to carry out the service you ask for, including passing on the documents that the clinic and the Department of Land Transport require. We keep conversations as long as your request and our legal duties require.
Cookies and similar storage
- Essential: your cookie choice is stored in your browser (local storage, key pdl_consent_v1, with the date of your choice). It is needed to remember the choice and is not a tracking cookie.
- Analytics (only if you agree): Google Analytics 4 by Google. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_2V3G5D10K0 and records page views, the pages you visit, your approximate location, device and browser, clicks on WhatsApp links, the start and end of the eligibility quiz with the answers you choose (vehicle type, licence status, visa type) and the fact that the contact form was submitted. It does not record what you type into the form. Google may process this data outside Thailand and the EU, including in the USA.
- Marketing (only if you agree): lets Google use the advertising features of its analytics, for example audiences.
Without your agreement no Google script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. If you decline or withdraw, we delete the Google Analytics cookies in your browser. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account.
Server logs and hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web server it logs technical data such as IP address, time, requested page and browser for operation and security.
Other services
Fonts are served from our own server. Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Telegram take you to those services; their own policies apply from there.
Legal basis
Where Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act or the GDPR applies: analytics and marketing rest on your consent. Answering your requests and providing the service rest on your request and our legitimate interest in running our business.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy, you can object to its use, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Use the „Cookie settings“ link at the bottom of every page to change your cookie choice, or write to us on WhatsApp for everything else. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live or to Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee.
Changes
If we change how this site handles data, we update this page and the date above.
