Why DLT Phuket Is Booked 3 to 6 Months Ahead
Driving license services at DLT Phuket run on fixed daily appointment slots that are released through the DLT Smart Queue app. With a large and growing number of expats, long-stay visitors and DTV holders on the island, those slots are currently taken 3 to 6 months in advance. Walk-ins for new licenses and conversions are generally not possible.
A Thai driving license, however, is a national document. It does not matter which provincial Land Transport Office issues it: a license from Krabi is valid in Phuket and everywhere else in Thailand.

Officers verify your passport, visa, residence certificate, medical certificate and, for conversions, your foreign license with IDP or certified translation.
